Fore A Laugh - My brain realising I'm playing well π
You're playing well and look set for a great round, when you decide to total up your score and...

I think we can all relate to this one π.
Talking Point - Who supports the proposed golf ball changes (and who doesn't) π
Unless you've been living under a rock (and not reading Tee Time), you'll be aware that golf's governing bodies are looking at a proposed rollback of the golf ball. This will see professionals use a ball that won't travel as far.

We've summarised which players support the rollback and which players are against it:
Who supports the rollback?
Rory McIlroy - perhaps the most outspoken of those in support of the rollback is Rory. He's quoted as saying "I really like it" and that he would even consider using it if the PGA Tour didn't implement the rule, as this would give him the best chance in majors.
Padraig Harrington - βThereβs so many benefits to rolling it back. Old golf courses come back into play, great golf courses come back into play." He also added that he believes the ball only needs to rollback in warm weather climates π€.
Jack Nicklaus - Jack Nicklaus has been campaigning for a golf ball rollback for several years now and it's safe to say his stance hasn't changed.
Brandon Matthews - He's one of the fastest swing players on the PGA Tour and would be set to lose more distance than most. However, he is suprisingly for it "Iβm really looking forward to seeing shot shapes again like you used to see".
Who is against the rollback?
Justin Thomas - "my reaction was disappointed and also not surprised, to be honest. I think the USGA over the years has - in my eyes, it's harsh, but made some pretty selfish decisions." π₯
Bryson DeChambeau - βI think itβs the most atrocious thing that you could possibly do to the game of golf." Hardly suprising is it? π
Webb Simpson - "I don't know that we need to roll back equipment. I think there needs to be more emphasis on golf course design". This is interesting given the majority of golf course architects support the golf ball rollback.
Keegan Bradley - "It's too extreme. It creates a huge void between players. One of the coolest things about golf is you can come out and play with a PGA Tour player, with a 30 handicap and we're playing the same sport." Hard to disagree!
Jon Rahm - "My biggest question for them to be we're in a golden era of golf where it's exploded since COVID, a lot of people are watching, you have a completely different tour, all these things are happening for the game and it's growing. Why change what's working?". Again hard to argue with!!
So it does seem there's a split amongst the professional golf world as to whether the rollback is for good or not. Reply to us and let us know what you think? βοΈ
Equipment Round Up - FootJoy Fuel Sport Shoe Review π
FootJoy have been one of the market leaders in golf shoes for a long time now. We've taken a look at one of their latest releases - the Fuel Sport Golf Shoe π

FootJoy Fuel Sport Shoe
Who is it for? Any golfer that is looking for a modern looking, premium & lightweight golf shoe. They are available in both Mens & Womens sizes.
What about the tech? The Fuel Sport shoes feature a new breathable performance mesh to further add to the athletic appeal. They also utilise a TPU Hot Melt top layer, meaning golfers can enjoy lightweight comfort and traction in a stylish, easy-to-clean waterproof offering. Not sure that will mean much to people? π³
How do they look? This will all depend on whether you're a traditionalist or love more modern golf equipment. The Pink/Blue soled model certainly catches the eye, however, there are also more discrete models which you can see below π

What is performance like? These are unbelievably comfy which is obviously a huge factor in whether a golf shoe performs. They also offer excellent grip and are water proof - let's face it you need that playing your golf in the UK.
In summary, the looks of these shoes won't be for everyone, and at an expensive Β£134.99, the price won't be for everyone either. However, simply put they do their job very well and you know you can always rely on a FootJoy shoe to be great quality.
Tee Time Equipment Rating: 7/10 β
On Tour - Moore, Lee & Baldwin Victories ποΈββοΈ
PGA Tour
Taylor Moore run out a one shot winner at the Valspar Championship last week. There was an exciting end to the tournament with Spieth and Schenk missing almost identical 40 foot putts to try and force a play off.
LIV Golf Tour
There was a 4 man playoff on the LIV Golf Tour last week. Eventual winner Danny Lee had to fight off Louis Oosthuizen, Carlos Ortiz and Brendan Steele to win on the second hole of the play off. Meanwhile in the team competition, Fireballs GC, captained by Sergio Garcia won the title by 4 strokes.
DP World Tour
Englishman Matthew Baldwin won the SDC Championship by a huge 7 shot margin last week. The event was held at St Francis Links in South Africa πΏπ¦.

Hole Of The Week - 13th Hole, Hillside Golf Club, England β³οΈ

13th hole Hillside Golf Club
The 13th hole at Hillside Golf Club is like a bad hair day - it's unpredictable, frustrating, and you just want to hide from the world π«£.
It's a par-4 with a fairway that's as narrow as a catwalk. And if you manage to avoid the deep rough and bunkers, you're greeted by a green that's as hilly as a rollercoaster ride. Sounds tricky? It is, but it's definitely worth playing if you're ever in the Southport area!
