Fore A Laugh - Masters Champions Dinner Sketch ๐
If you've ever come across Conor Moore on YouTube, you'll know just how good his impressions are. This week he's produced a sketch of the Masters' Champions Dinner. It's absolute gold ๐
Talking Point - What would an amateur shoot around Augusta? ๐ค
Have you ever watched the Masters and thought "How has he missed that putt?!" or "I reckon I could chip this one close". Yeah a lot of amateurs do, however, I don't think they realise just how hard this course is.

Augusta National has a slope rating of 155, which means that it's incredibly difficult for very skilled golfers to play.
So what would an amateur score around Augusta National? ๐ค
Well, let's just say that it wouldn't be pretty.
Most amateurs hit a few stray shots off the tee and you simply don't get away with that at Augusta. They also tend to struggle judging the pace of putts and that would be disastrous at Augusta where green speeds are ridiculously quick.
Another issue for the every day amateur would be the strategically placed hazards, we've seen tons of pro's end up in them, so they would be almost unmissable for an amateur. All of this isn't even considering the monsterous length of Augusta National, many amateurs would need to hit 2 drivers just to get close to the green on the Par 4s ๐.
Many journalists state they would expect the below scores from an amateur:Single figure handicappers: 80-87
Mid Handicappers: Should be delighted to break 90.
18+ Handicappers: May struggle to break 100.
So judging on the above, playing Augusta may not turn into your finest hour on a golf course, but hey, at least you can say they've played Augusta National.
Equipment Round Up - Ping ChipR ๐
It's that time of year when golfers can finally get out and practice their short games again. But, what if there was a club that could help you improve your chipping quickly? Well that's club could be the Ping ChipR.

Who is it for? Golfers who struggle with their chipping, generally this will be mid to high handicappers.
What about the tech? The ChipR is full of tech, it features all of the technology you would find in the latest Ping Glide 4.0 wedges. This includes the Hydro Pearl finish and the Micromax grooves. Interestingly it has a putter length shaft (35 inches), the lie angle of a putter but the loft of your average 9 iron.
How do they look? For me, this is where this club stands apart from anything I've seen in this category before. Historically, chippers have looked a bit like broken putters and it's been painfully obvious to all your playing partners that you are using one. However, the ChipR looks just like a short iron/wedge, so you don't need to be ashamed when you pull it out of your bag.

What is performance like? Excellent, I tested this on my golf course's short game area and straight away I could see why this will help so many golfers. The shortened shaft and more upright lie angle made me feel a lot more confident that I wouldn't hit those dreaded thin/fat shots.
In summary, this club is not for all golfers. However, if you are in that large chunk of players that struggles with your chipping, give this a test. It could give you a lot more confidence around the greens and better still, your playing partners might not even notice ๐

Hole Of The Week - 12th Hole, Augusta National, USA โณ๏ธ

Sometimes regarded as the scariest Par 3 in the world, the 12th hole at Augusta National really is iconic.
It is like a game of "Operation" - one false move and you're in big trouble. It's a par-3 with a deceptively shallow green that's guarded by a creek and three bunkers. Some of the best players in world golf have had a nightmare here in previous years ๐ซฃ.
