Talking Point - LIV Golf Signs US TV Deal 📺

Look away LIV Golf haters….

Yesterday LIV Golf confirmed its first-ever US broadcast television and streaming agreement. They’ve announced a multi-year partnership with The CW Network.

So it looks like LIV Golf is here to stay, at least for the foreseeable. Whether you’re a LIV fan or not, you’ve got to take the positives: we can watch more of the top professionals we love.

This news, combined with the new PGA Tour documentary hitting our screens on Netflix, should mean a lot less reality TV with our other halves this year. Although, there might actually be more drama in golf at the moment 🤔

Equipment Round Up - 2023 Driver First Impressions 😍

It's that time of year... the new drivers that will gain you an extra 100 yards off the tee have been released!

We've taken a quick look at some of them for you:

Callaway Paradym - For us this is the standout of 2023. Many people claim this is more forgiving than any other driver they've hit this year. Comes in three models: Paradym Triple Diamond, Paradym & Paradym X (draw bias).

Taylormade Stealth 2 - Very similar to the original Stealth, featuring a red carbon face but not as forgiving as others. Comes in three models: Stealth 2, Stealth 2 Plus+ & Stealth 2 HD (draw bias).

Ping G430 - Very similar in looks and performance to the popular G425. Offers plenty of forgiveness and comes in 3 models: G430 LST, G430 Max & G430 SFT (draw bias).

Cobra Aerojet - Claims to increase speed by offering advanced aerodynamic shaping. It's had excellent reviews so far and comes in 3 models: Aerojet, Aerojet LS & Aerojet Max (draw bias).

Honestly, I'd love to have any of these in my bag. However, if we had to choose one it would be the Paradym, its looks and performance are amongst the best we've seen!

On Tour - Si Woo Kim & GB & Ireland Win 🏆

PGA Tour

The PGA Tour saw Si Woo Kim win the Sony Open this week by 1 shot from Hayden Buckley. It's the 27-year-old's 4th PGA Tour win!

DP World TourThe DP World Tour saw a new event this week: the Hero Cup. It saw a Great Britain and Ireland team take on a Continental Europe Team. The 3 day event saw Great Britain & Ireland win 14.5 - 10.5. It will be interesting to see if this helps the Europeans in the Ryder Cup - they need it after the last time 😬.

Hole Of The Week - 6th Hole, The Coeur d’Alene Resort ⛳️

This par 3 in Idaho is our hole of the week. You step onto an elevated tee with awesome views of the lake behind. Massive, 80-foot pines tower over the green, whilst bunkers guard the back and left-hand side.

Who's overshooting one straight into the lake then? 🙋
