Fore A Laugh - Full Swing Parody ๐Ÿ˜‚

Full Swing was finally released earlier this week, however, this parody trailer from impressionist Conor Moore might be better than the series itself ๐Ÿ‘‡

Talking Point - What Should We Expect From Tiger Woods? ๐Ÿ…

For me, he's the greatest ever golfer and possibly even the greatest ever sportsman. That's why when he's teeing it up this week, part of me still expects him to win. However, what should we realistically expect from Tiger these days?

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods tee's it up at the Riviera Country Club.

Sadly, I think it's unrealistic to think a golfer, who hasn't played competitively since last years Open Championship, could win a PGA Tour event. Even if Tiger did insist earlier in the week that he is here to win.

The PGA Tour is so competitive these days with new players fighting at the top of the leaderboard every week. It looks harder than ever this week too. 23 of the world's top 25 will be playing alongside Tiger at the Genesis Invitational.

If Tiger was to make the cut and tee it up over the weekend, I think this would be a great result for Tiger. This would give him a real platform to build on as we look ahead to the major season. However, I'm sure many would just be happy to see him get through the tournament without showing any signs of injury.

๐Ÿšจ Competition

Reply to this email with a guess of Tiger Wood's finishing score at the Genesis Invitational. He should already be through one round by the time you read this, that's a nice helping hand for you!

Equipment Round Up - TaylorMade Spider GTX and GT Max Putters ๐Ÿ‘€

The Taylormade Spider line up is one of the most iconic putter line ups in golf. Many top professionals have used them over the years including Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.

Taylormade Spider GTX and GT Max Putters

Taylormade Spider GTX and GT Max Putters

For 2023, 2 new models have been launched: the Spider GTX and Spider GT Max.

So, who are these for? All golfers, the forgiveness these offered will be great for high handicappers, whilst many of the world's top players have used the previous models of these putters.

What do Taylormade say about them? Taylormade claim the Spider GTX combines the best features of the iconic Spider Tour and Spider X models, whilst bringing a full array of colour options. So if a nice colour is important to you when choosing a putter, you're in luck ๐Ÿ˜‚. Whilst the GTX Max offers adjustability with a sliding weight.

How do they look? I think this all depends on your opinion of the True Path alignment aid as this is what stands out here!

What about the tech? TaylorMade say they have increased MOI in the GTX by using a 154g steel backweight, whilst the wing structure creates a deeper center of gravity (38mm). Whilst the GT Max features two 40g sliding tungsten weights that can be positioned to influence center of gravity, toe hang and face rotation.

The adjustable GT Max

The adjustable GT Max

In summary, these look like another strong addition to the Spider family, especially the GT Max as the adjustability brings something completely different. The GTX has a slightly different feel to last year's GT, due to the moving of the weight. Also, if you're someone who likes to tweak your equipment a lot, the GT Max will be right up your street!

On Tour - Impressive Scottie & Strydom Wins In Singapore ๐Ÿ‘

PGA Tour

It was the WM Pheonix Open on the PGA Tour last week, with a host of big names in the field. A host of those big names were all competing at the top of the leaderboard with Scheffler, Rahm, Thomas & Day all in the Top 5. However, it was Scottie Scheffler (-19) who ended up winning by 2 shots from Canadian Nick Taylor.

Unfortunately we saw no hole in ones on the famous 16th this year ๐Ÿ‘Ž. Although, Rickie Fowler did make a hole in one on the 7th!

DP World TourThe DP World Tour travelled to Singapore last week, where South African Ockie Strydom (-19) won by 1 shot from Sami Valimaki. Strydom shot an impressive 9 under par final round to get the job done!

Hole Of The Week - 16th Hole, Cypress Point Golf Club, California โ›ณ๏ธ

16th Hole Cypress Point Golf Club

It is a 222 yard Par 3

This par 3 is known as one of the world's toughest. It has a 200+ yard carry over water, cliffs and bunkers.

Reckon you could carry this or are you ending up in the Pacific Ocean with me? ๐ŸŒŠ
