Fore A Laugh - It all makes sense ๐Ÿ‘€

Watch the Masters last weekend? You'll have seen the big talking point. No, not Rahmbo winning the green jacket. The tree's falling near the 17th Tee. But who did it? Eddie knows ๐Ÿ‘‡

We know how serious the LIV Golf feud is getting ๐Ÿ˜‚

Talking Point - Is Slow Play Killing The Game? ๐Ÿ˜ด

Golf is known for its elegance, its etiquette, and its pace โ€“ or lack of. Slow play has plagued the game for decades, and has many golfers asking whether it's killing the sport.

Is slow play killing golf?

It's no secret that golf can be a slow game. From the moment players tee off to the final putt on the 18th green, a round of golf can take upwards of five hours. That's a lot of time to spend outside without a cold beer in hand.

But slow play is more than just an inconvenience โ€“ it's a real problem for the sport. Slow play can discourage new players from taking up the game, they may not have the patience or time to dedicate an entire day to playing a round.

So, what's causing the slow play? Is it the fault of golfers who take too long to play their shots, or is it a problem with the structure of the game itself? The answer is likely a combination of both.

There are certainly golfers who take an excessive amount of time to hit their shots (not mentioning any names Patrick Cantlay ๐Ÿ‘€).

Whether it's because they're analyzing every blade of grass or simply trying to psych out their opponent, these slow players can be a real frustration.

So, what can be done to address slow play? Some solutions include implementing a shot clock or penalizing slow players with added strokes. But do we really want to get to a place where players are having to worry about how many seconds they have left, rather than trying to play their best shot?

Whatever the solution, it's clear that addressing slow play is essential to keep the game thriving. Because let's face it โ€“ nobody wants to spend an entire day on the course without a cold drink in hand.

Equipment Round Up - Mizuno ST-Z 230 Driver ๐Ÿง

Mizuno has always been known for it's excellent irons. I have some myself and would be reluctant to come away from them. However, it's rare you see someone gaming a Mizuno driver. We've taken a look at their latest release...

Mizuno STZ-30

Who is it for? All golfers. There are 2 models of this driver available; the neutral STZ-230 and draw biased STX-230. So higher handicappers and better players should both be suited.

What about the tech? These drivers feature Mizuno's new CORTECH Chamber technology that promises to boost performance. In simpler terms, they've added a stainless-steel weight with elastomeric TPU to the head to create an additional source of energy while reducing spin.

How do they look? Last year's ST-Z 220 was already a looker, but the new ST-Z 230 is just as sleek with a glossy black finish and a carbon effect pattern underneath.

What is performance like? The ST-230 driver delivers a powerful sensation through impact which I really liked. They're also pretty forgiving (which is always a bonus when you're playing like a complete amateur). Most testers online have reported a strong increase in numbers compared to last years model ๐Ÿ‘.

In summary, although you might not necessarily think of Mizuno when you go to buy a new driver, maybe you should? Their drivers' seem to have made a big jump forward this year and they are priced lower than most competitors.

On Tour - Rahm Wins The Green Jacket ๐Ÿ†

The Masters Tournament

Just in case you've been living under a rock - Jon Rahm won the Masters last weekend.

After starting with a double bogey on Thursday, he turned his game around and was brilliant for the remaining 71 holes. He ended up winning by 4 shots from LIV Golfers Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickleson.Special shout out to Phil for that epic 4th round, he had 5 birdies in his last 7 holes to secure second ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Hole Of The Week - 5th Hole, Himalayas, Princes Golf Club, England โ›ณ๏ธ

5th Hole, Himalayas

If you're looking for a bloody good time on the golf course, look no further than Bloody Point (yes I really just wrote that). It's the signature Par 3 at Prince's.

It may be the shortest hole on the course (135 yards off the whites), but don't be fooled - the raised green is guarded by steep run off areas and a deep pot bunker. And don't even get me started on the undulating green that slopes from right to left โ€“ it's like trying to putt on a carnival ride. But hey, if you can hit your approach shot to the left of the pin, you just might have a chance at birdie.
