Equipment Round Up - Garmin Approach Z82 Golf Rangefinder ⛳️

Knowing your distances is key to lowering your handicap. The Garmin Approach Z82 Range Finder could help you out on the course. We've taken a look at it below 👇

Who is it for? All golfers (if you have spare cash).

What features does it have? This really is a top end device with a ton of features. The best of them is the 2D hole map overlay that is displayed on the side of the view as you look through it. It provides you front, middle and back distances as well as a full view on the hole ahead to give you a picture of what lies ahead. You can also enter your driving distance before you play, it will then show you via the hole map where you should roughly expect a good drive to end up. Added to that there is also slope functionality that can be turned on or off.

Verdict - This genuinely is one of the best range finders I've ever used. It's very expensive at £479/$528 but I can see why people would justify that price tag. If improving your on course strategy is important to you, it may well be worth considering!

On Tour - A Win For Tony 👏

PGA Tour

The PGA Tour hosted the Mexico Championship last week at Vidanta Vallarta.2 big names battled it out at the top of the leaderboard - Tony Finau and Jon Rahm. Tony Finau ran out the eventual winner by 3 shots on -24.

Shout out to Tony for caddying for his children just hours after his win on the Par 3 course - What a man 🤩

DP World Tour

It was the Korea Championship from Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea on the DP World Tour. Spaniard Pablo Larrazábal ran out a 2 shot winner ending up on -12.

LIV Golf Tour

Talor Gooch won his second LIV Golf Tour event in a row last week in Singapore. He saw off Sergio Garcia in a play off to secure his victory.

Gooch's caddie has picked up $912,500 in just one week. Not bad 😯

Hole Of The Week - 4th Hole, Banff Springs Golf Course, Canada 🇨🇦

According to the club, this hole has made it to the elite group of '18 best holes in the world.' And no wonder! This stunning hole boasts a jaw-dropping 70-foot drop from the tee to the green, all while overlooking a picturesque pond and majestic mountain ranges.

Definitely on my bucket list 🪣
